GradSHARK Launch PAAD – Curriculum & Instruction, MEd

Emphasis in Special Education

Undergraduate students interested in graduate study in Special Education can get a head start in earning a graduate degree through the GradSHARK Launch PAAD for Special Education.

Requirements to qualify:

  • 3.0 minimum GPA and 3.0 on the most recent 45 hours of undergraduate work
  • 90 completed credit hours as an undergraduate

Number of credit hours a student can earn towards the graduate degree while completing their undergraduate studies:

15 credit hours

  • EDSP 653 – Practicum and Field Experiences with Exceptionalities—Summer Online
  • EDSP 676 – Education and Psychology of Individuals with Behavior Problems—Spring Online
  • EDSP 678 – Positive Behavior Support—Summer Online
  • EDSP 680 – Applied Behavior Analysis and Management—Fall Online
  • EDSP 683 – Examination of Research with Exceptional Students
  • EDSP 685 – Characteristics of Gifted Learners (Summer 1 Online)
  • EDSP 689 – Inst. Methods and Materials in Gifted Educ. (Summer 1 Online)

To Enroll:

Students must be accepted into the Launch PAAD and complete the requisite GradSHARK Launch PAAD Course Enrollment Form for this degree. The form must be received by the Graduate School (the form requires approval from your Undergraduate Advisor and the Graduate Program Coordinator for Civil Engineering). During each subsequent term, the student must submit a new enrollment form for this program if they wish to take courses that can count towards a graduate degree (students will not officially be registered for graduate courses until this form is complete).
