Graduate School
The University of Mississippi

Annette S. Kluck, Ph.D.Dear Students, Alumni, Colleagues, and Friends of the Graduate School,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Fall, 2019 newsletter. As I write this welcome, the leaves have started the annual process of changing to vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. And, the football season is well underway. It is a great time to be in Oxford! In the Graduate School, we invite our alumni and friends to return for a visit and we would love to hear from you.

Similar to the leaves, our Graduate School is experiencing a number of changes. Within this exciting time of change, we have taken the opportunity to articulate our priorities for graduate education using an acronym grounded in school spirit. In addition to the article explaining the meaning of GradSHARKS, we continue to honor outstanding students and programs on campus. In this issue, you can read about our relatively new doctoral program in Social Welfare, which meets an important need in our state and region. You will also find stories about three current, outstanding graduate students who have represented our institution well.

We hope you enjoy this season’s newsletter and we welcome ideas for stories, especially ideas to recognize the accomplishments of our excellent alumni. We appreciate your support of the Graduate School and our graduate students at the University of Mississippi.

Hotty Toddy.
