  • Office of Pre-College Programs — Youth Events Assistant

    The Graduate Assistant for Youth Events supports the Office of Precollege Programs in preparing for large-scale events hosted on campus, including academic bowls, conferences, and campus visits. During the fall and spring semesters, the Graduate Assistant assists with the planning, organization, and administrative preparation required for multiple programs and events.

  • Office of Pre-College Programs — Good Life

    The Graduate Assistant for the Good Life Program assists with the outreach mission of the Good Life Program. The Good Life Program is a postsecondary access program serving rural Mississippi students with potential to be first in their families to attend college. The program works with juniors and seniors enrolled in high schools located within an hour of the UM campus, offering year-round mentoring as well as residential summer academic enrichment. The graduate assistant in this role will, in addition to helping organize events, supervise a team of undergraduate mentors working with the high school participants.

    The Graduate Assistant for Summer Programs Planning & Operations supports the Summer Programs team in preparing for youth programs hosted on campus.   • William Magee Institute (WMI) for Student Wellbeing

    This GA will assist with filming and editing podcast episodes (audio and video content), managing an editing schedule to meet weekly content deadlines, and creating additional video content on campus and at events. The GA will also assist with creating and posting engaging social media content, creating and following a social media content calendar, and brainstorming new social media content ideas and more.

    The Museum Education Graduate Assistant supports the planning, facilitation, and evaluation of educational programs at the University of Mississippi Museum. This position offers hands-on experience in museum teaching, program development, and community engagement within a dynamic arts-based learning environment.
