The Bridge STEM and IMAGE Mission

The Bridge STEM and IMAGE mission is dedicated to creating new opportunities for undergraduate students and changing the future of STEM in Mississippi.

The mission of IMAGE is to:

  • Increase the number of marginalized Mississippi undergraduate students (first- generation, economically and academically disadvantaged areas across Mississippi, etc.) acquiring bachelor's degrees in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
  • Increase the number of advanced degrees obtained by marginalized Mississippi undergraduate students in the STEM fields.

McNair Program

While not technically a Bridge STEM or IMAGE Programs, you may want to check out the McNair program. The McNair Program supports high-achieving students from marginalized backgrounds as they prepare for graduate school and doctoral study. Through mentorship, research opportunities, and hands-on guidance, McNair Scholars build the skills and connections needed to reach the highest levels of academic achievement.
