GradSHARK Launch PAAD – Early Childhood Education, MEd
Undergraduate students interested in graduate study in Early Childhood Education can get a head start in earning a graduate degree through the GradSHARK Launch PAAD for Early Childhood Education.
Requirements to qualify:
- 3.0 minimum GPA
- 90 completed credit hours as an undergraduate
Number of credit hours a student can earn towards the graduate degree while completing their undergraduate studies:
15 credit hours
Courses undergraduate students in the Launch PAAD can take to earn credit towards the graduate degree:
- EDEC 600 Child Development: Pre-Birth to Age 8
- EDEC 601 Language and Literacy Development in Young Children
- EDEC 602 Theoretical Foundations of Early Childhood Curriculum
- EDEC 603 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) in ECE
- EDEC 604 Function and Theory of Play in Early Childhood
- EDEC 605 Integrating the Arts in Early Childhood Education
- EDEC 606 Social Contexts in Early Childhood
- EDEC 607 Issues and Trends in Early Childhood Education
- EDEC 608 Diverse Needs in Early Childhood Education
- EDRS 605 Educational Research 1
To Enroll:
Students must be accepted into the Launch PAAD and complete the requisite GradSHARK Launch PAAD Course Enrollment Form for this degree. The form must be received by the Graduate School (the form requires approval from your Undergraduate Advisor and the Graduate Program Coordinator for Civil Engineering). During each subsequent term, the student must submit a new enrollment form for this program if they wish to take courses that can count towards a graduate degree (students will not officially be registered for graduate courses until this form is complete).
